A Perspective of the World

This via Dina’s site - world mapper.

Maps tell more than geograpy. They are also reflective of relative importance of various states in the world. For example, Great Britain occupies a far more prominent place in the world map than its geographical size implies.

In a way world mapper is a way of seeing the world based on different parameters. These two were specifically interesting

And then there is the one for the elderly.

India looks terribly flabby on both counts. And the west looks terribly emaciated on the same parameters.

There is a post brewing somewhere in the nature of the welfare state and how it is going to shift world wide, but that is for another day!
