The thing that psyches Rani the most is the mention of the word “BATH” -and she recognizes it in Tamil, Hindi and English.
She tries all sorts of things to avoid one - from running all over the house and hiding, to digging in her heals and refusing to move.
And then, when it is all over - there she will sit with a martyr like expression on her face. And it takes all of us - going down on our knees - cajoling her for her to get back to her normal mood!

I can so much relate to it. My pet does it too (avoiding bath by hiding behind chairs and reaching unreachable of places), but after the bath its so damn activeand all enthu to play, jump and run

i think its ditto for all the dogs. Even Jhumru (my pet) acts in a similar fashion…

i think that there needs to be reservation for dogs, especially those who look like rani.
i always thought it was cats that hated water - now it is dogs too is it?

Luckily I have a self cleaning cat so I don’t have to worry too much about it. I need to help my neighbor grab her dog and drag it to the bathtub though for it’s bath. He seems to love it once he’s in the tub though!
