Monsoon Light

I love the rains. Always have. And one of the things that i enjoy the most about the monsoons is the kind of light that filters over Mumbai. This is stuff that i have shot over the last few weeks - experimenting with aperature control and shutter speed Mumbai Andheri East When sun light filters through the clouds, even Andheri (East) looks enchanting :) And this is over Bandra Flyover. conventional wisdom tells you not to click the sun - but …. Good Morning

The andheri pic is at dusk
the bandra one at dawn :) it looked like heaven was smiling - the pics barely do justice to the light!

Amazing pics!!! Andheri East does not look at all like the ‘andher nagari’ it so often seems to be…it does not even look part of Mumbai… :)

You’ve got a great eye. Can’t believe you’re “experimenting”. Phenomenal. I believe that it is so much harder to take a good color photo than a black and white one. Your shots are very impressive….what gear are you using?

i am definitely experimenting - I know what i like as the end result - i need to tinker a bit to get there :) sony dsc h2 series - great fun to use!

Lovely. Photographing the sun produces some really ethereal shots. :)
I try too… but hardly succeed.
