Thank you Gargi for writing such a wonderful article. You got the essence of the people in Mumbai right. It pains the Maharashtrians to see their very own city going out of their hands, and certain goons living illegally in slums, pavements snatching things away from them using wrong means and brutal force at times. It is now a political party using brutal force in return. We respect tax paying people like you who will cease to be called as ‘outsiders’ after a decade or so! Welcome to Maharashtra and think of this place as yours, this place will take care of you!

Choice, do not pay attention to those people. It makes me sad to say but non – Hindi people do not find it comfortable to live in the Hindi speaking places. That is why there are virtually no cosmopolitan cities there in north where you can find, Bengalis, Malayalis, Punjabis all living together, though Delhi is the only exception and Chandigarh (though it is practically in Punjab) being another.

And these hypocrites call themselves Indians! Patriotism to them is cursing MNS, Maharashtra and all Maharashtrians. When a divide is already existent in their mind, it makes no sense to blame the divisive politicians.

I read the view by Mr. Kundan, and as well surprised b’coz know whether he is cursing Maharashtra, by taking help of God to drown by this state or by the work hard attitude of other state people. For God I can tell him that is not possible as “Maharashtra is always called as ” Santan Chi Bhoomi ” (if you don’t understand take help of the great Marathi literature) and if you are threaten by work hard attitude of other state people and go ahead we will always well come that. You have raised the point of competition with other state work, but will you show me how many of this people pay taxes and other liabilities of this state. I have seen in the “National Geographic channel that North Indian side railways are in loss that bore this loss the people who pay the regular ticket and not the North Indians. Also a point that Mr. Kundan was referring “Maharashtra as Maha , I don’t what keeps him writing the full name of the state, which itself indicate his grateful attitude towards the state. I have comment now as I have read this article today itself.
