The Crow’s Fall<\/a><\/strong>
\nWhen Crow was white he decided the sun was too white.
\nHe decided it glared much too whitely.
\nHe decided to attack it and defeat it.<\/p>\n

He got his strength up flush and in full glitter.
\nHe clawed and fluffed his rage up.
\nHe aimed his beak direct at the sun’s centre.<\/p>\n

He laughed himself to the centre of himself<\/p>\n

And attacked.<\/p>\n

At his battle cry trees grew suddenly old,
\nShadows flattened.<\/p>\n

But the sun brightened\u2014
\nIt brightened, and Crow returned charred black.<\/p>\n

He opened his mouth but what came out was charred black.<\/p>\n

“Up there,” he managed,
\n“Where white is black and black is white, I won.”<\/p>\n
