\nSo according to Bal Thackeray, the elections were lost because of Bangladeshis, Bihari, Uttar Pradeshis’, Muslims and anyone who felt threatened by the Shiv Sena’s policy of targetting any one born outside this state.
\nFact remains that apart from Mumbai, the rest of Maharashtra is 95% Maharashtrian. Surely it is a substantial part of that vote that kept the Sena out of power.<\/p>\n

On a bad day, Sardesai has the instincts of blood hound, on a good day he can go for the jugular without the poor victim even realising it. He has rubbed the old man the wrong way. And now Mr.Thackeray is baying for blood:<\/p>\n
In an expletive-laden 800-word editorial in the Saamna mouthpiece yesterday, Thackeray used uniquely Marathi abuses like \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcLavanda,\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcAkkarmashi\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcUpatsumbha\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 to describe Sardesai and attacked the nature and style of his journalism. He then called Sardesai an \u00e2\u20ac\u0153arse-licker\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153muck-raker\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and even questioned his parentage, saying he was an \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcAkkarmashi Avlaad.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<\/p>\n
It reminded me of an old African saying about those who offend God being turned insane. Disappointment at loss cannot lead to incoherence of thought.<\/p>\n
