Yasser Arafat died today. I hope that he finds the peace that so eluded him in life.
\nHe, more than anyone else, ensured that the Palestinians were not forgotten. They didn’t become another statistic in a desire by the West to assuage their collective guilt over the Holoucast .
\nHowever, I wish that he had the moral courage to embark on a non violent struggle for a Independent Palestinian Homeland. I wish he had the guts to stand up to the Arab nations – and demand the right of his people for a nation. I wish that he had not been so wishy washy on terrorism.
