And, twitter had this to say.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5943\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/calamur.org\/gargi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Untitled-2-1.jpg?resize=574%2C602\" alt=\"\" width=\"574\" height=\"602\" \/>Men or anon handles threatening to rape, murder, send people to gas chambers, are not suspended. and women are, based on a set of rules that is not transparent.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rose McGowen<\/strong> who has been tweeting about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/10\/10\/us\/harvey-weinstein-accusations.html\"><strong>Harvey Weinstein<\/strong><\/a> sexual harassment \/ rape\/ molestation case, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/culture\/2017\/10\/12\/16464752\/twitter-suspended-rose-mcgowan?utm_campaign=vox.social&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_content=1507835861\"><strong>had her posting rights<\/strong> <\/a>suspended. It was like the old boy&#8217;s club banded together to stop more skeletons come tumbling out &#8211; already, actor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2017\/10\/12\/calls-for-ben-affleck-to-step-down-as-batman-amid-groping-allegations.html\"><strong>Ben Affleck<\/strong><\/a> (who you last saw in the superman v\/s batman film as batman), is in the crossfire.\u00a0 The staying off twitter, is in response to twitter blocking her posting rights. (Before you ask me what i did when person x, whose views you support, got their rights suspended &#8211; i can&#8217;t protest everything, but, you go right ahead, and you have my moral support. )<\/p>\n<p>While this is not a story that concerns India, it is an issue that is rampant here too. Ever ask yourself where the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/cities\/mumbai\/tvf-ceo-booked-for-sexual-harassment\/article17740378.ece\"><strong>TVF story went<\/strong> <\/a>? or the <a href=\"https:\/\/yourstory.com\/2017\/04\/scoopwhoop-co-founder-sexual-harassment\/\"><strong>scoopwhoop<\/strong><\/a> one ? Ever wondered what happens in the film industries of India ? What you have is a code of silence. Those who raise their voices, disappear from the industries.<\/p>\n<p>I stand in solidarity with my sisters worldwide (and it feels good to say this line). I don&#8217;t normally boycott things, but today is an exception.<\/p>\n<p>There are women saying, it will achieve nothing, that the abusers will abuse.<\/p>\n<p>I agree the abusers wont stop their abuse. And, my fight is not with those who abuse &#8211; they don&#8217;t know any better. If anything i feel pity for them and the lives they lead.<\/p>\n<p>But, corporates need to know, that women can band together &#8211; across boundaries &#8211; to demand just one thing &#8211; we don&#8217;t expect you to do anything for us, but don&#8217;t penalise us for being us.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(and my plugins post automatically to social platforms. that is why you will see this on your feed.
