yo! to that – have a fruitful and flowery week… how I love this shot! and how I wish I was paying better attention when you spoke about aperture settings and suchlike – one more time please? 🙂
I love this shot too – there is great light on your balcony. not too hard, not too soft.
aperture is the amount of light that you let in. if you open aperture you are letting more light in, and when you close aperture, you are reducing the amount of light.
in video, aperture is sometimes also called detail. you increase aperture, you increase detail. However, this is a technique you tend to use on close up’s or macros with a bit of care. too much detail and your picture can look grainy.
This technique doesn’t work too well with long shots (too much ambient light around) but works perfectly well on close ups.
