There are tons of things to do in and around the house in [tag]Lonavala[/tag] and now that the house is more or less settled, I have begun exploring around…..

Winters in the [tag]Western Ghats [/tag] – means hues of brown and green. Stark, Majestic and imposing. The green usually makes way for Golden, leaving the hills looking like gold. There is a majesty about the landscape of [tag]Maharashtra[/tag] – the sheer ruggedness of the mountains, and the starkness of the plateau, the solidity of the coast. IT is an attractive land… not beautiful or handsome in terms of ‘looks’ or in a conventional sense of the world. But, attractive in terms of character and personality – a character and personality that is noble, steadfast and enduring..The attractiveness of innate strength of character…..

  1. Hi Harini,

I am really enjoying your blog, especially the photos. I have traveled quite a lot in India, but I am currently living in my hometown, Toronto.

The natural beauty, ancient rhythms and warmth of where you live seem like paradise to me; I live in a frozen, soulless city.

I have future trips to India planned, and the Western Ghats (just one of many places!) is on my wish list.

I have just today launched my blog, and plan to write about my travels in India.
