Cogito Entertainment’s first Marathi feature film Jhing Chik Jhing is releasing on the 11th of June . And, obviously before its release there are a zillion things to be organised and put into place. Distribution is the next phase of the film. and to get audiences to the theaters, a fair amount of thinking and planning has gone into publicity and promotion.
Yesterday, we received the photosets that will go up at various theaters. Have a look. And, tell me what you think !
Bharat Jadhav in his award winning role as Mouli – a good decent man who has nothing left to lose but his sense of honour and self respect.
Chinmay Kambli in his award winning role as Shyam – a boy who won’t let circumstances prevent him from reaching for the stars
Madhavi Juvekar – i her award winning role as Manda.
Dilip Prabhavalkar – plays kavi
Aarti More plays Dipti
Wow …. I have always admired artists who come from a Marathi theater background. They are of a different league I think, with my limited knowledge of movies. Your photos look wonderful. Pardon my ignorance and curiosity – would love to know at what levels you are involved in the project. It must be a wonderful experience to be amidst all this artistic genius.Good Luck!!
Let me introduce myself to you … total ignorance personified. I looked you up (kinda late you would think) and realized what a goof up I am !! I am grounded from commenting anything stupid for good !! I promise. 🙂
hi
My company Cogito Entertainment has produced the film. and i am one of the 4 producers .
all the actors have an extremely storng Theatre background. In fact they are comfortable with all traditional media.
I thought so ….sorry for my ignorance. Wish you lots of luck on the production. Would love to see it. Not sure if it would be screened in the US theaters.
we are a small little company 🙂 would have been shocked (more than surprised) if you had known 🙂
we are talking to a few people on screening this film in the US – but it is more likely to be seen on satellite TV there or on netflix kind of systems !
Small is a matter of perspective…. it is quality and not quantity that matters. If it is available I shall find it and watch my first Marathi movie. And I will remember to let you know my “not an expert” views !! 🙂
