I rarely recommend products, and i can’t remember the last time i blogged about a product that wasn’t a book or a film/show.
But, this one is worth writing about.
The house i live in, has few plug points. And extension boards are the norms, between the devices that need to be plugged in, and devices that need to be charged – it is rare to find a socket free.
Last year i picked up an extension board, with USB charge points, from Croma. It was made in China. And, promptly after 8 months, the USB ports died. No warning, nothing. they just died.
So, i needed a new extension board. I saw this, and thought hmmmm…. one more made in China product. Chalo try kartein hai.
you can buy it here
Except that it isn’t. It is very much made in India. Good finish and works well. It has 8 plug points, and 4 USB’s – you can charge away to glory 🙂 The only thing i don’t like is the colour – the other option was bleeding red — i prefer blacks and whites for electronics. When i am being adventurous, i look at grey 🙂
Lastly, it would be nice if “Made in India’ becomes a descriptor at e-tailers. I prefer buying things made in India, and it would just help me choose better.
