Currently researching on Buddha, Buddhism in Western India, and the ancient sea port of Soparaka for a documentary film. We visited Kanheri Caves in that regard a couple of weeks ago – it began life as a resting place for weary travellers. It was much later that it became the Buddhist monastry? that we see today
