As the name suggest Newtertainment , a term i just coined out of sheer boredom, to describe the heady mix of sensationalist headlines, fluffy features, and celebrity mutterings that are shown on most 24 hour news channels – that ends to end up neutering the senses and possibly the brain !

Gargi Madam, thanks thanks for bringing this article about this talent show to the readers attention. Have watched few episodes of MTV roadies in reality shows but hope previous all competitions will be dwarfed by this comepetition show.
I hope that this show will open a new version of reality shows.in all news channel. Today news anchor, tomorrow journalist. SMS to vote for your fav. journo will be the tagline. Plight of mass journalism students will be matched by News anchor of Rakhi Sawant talents 😛
Talent Show seems very nice concept, I am thinking it as new recruitment process. Dying to see this comedy show…

I hope I won’t see another Splitsvilla or Jungle se bachaao again! These guys seem to be honest in their efforts… at least at this stage.
Of course, I don’t expect another Arnab or Pranoy out of this… but we’ll see something better than Raakhi ki adalat and Maya’s Mujra!

I wonder what the show contestants would be made to do. Would they have to make sensational news headlines which would make India TV bow their heads in shame (shame that they couldn’t think of it first!) or be like Arnab Goswami to ask stupid questions or be like Barkha Dutt to show her power of a media person vs “random bloggers” or send idiotic tweets a la Sagarika Ghose.
