Saw bits and pieces of the last match between the shoot, the edit and the proposal. Man, what a professional.

Waching him bat reminded me of a bit of the Mahabharat. It is exam day and Dronacharya – the guru of the Kauravas and the Pandavas- has set a test. It is a seemingly simple one. There is a tree on which is hung a bird (a wooden bird). And the test is for the archer to shoot the bird in the eye.

Now for master archers, as these students were, it was a fairly easy task. But, there was a qualifier. The question Drona asked the students was what is it that you see. Now, most students answered – the sky, the tree, the trunk, the leaves, the bird and the eye. they were disqualified. Then comes the turn of Arjun. He is asked the same question. His answer, I see the eye of the bird. Nothing else.

He is allowed to take the test.
