Yesterday dad got discharged – he would say released – from the hospital.

As hospitals go, Holy Spirit is a wonderful place. Nurses and doctors and the staff focused on healing.

They day i brought him into the hospital (the first). they rushed him into the ICU, began the treatment, and then came and whispered to me, that when i feel slightly better could i go down to the finance and discuss payments.

The finance department for a change, was humane – took the least possible time to deliver.

There was a guy standing next to me whose mother was admitted on the same day. when he was told that the treatment would come to Rs.5,000/- he said he couldn’t pay right away, he needed a week to pay up. The accountants said – go find the money, the treatment will continue. Dont’ worry.

I had heard such horror stories about hospitals in India, that I had a great deal of apprehension the day Dad was admitted. But, Holy Spirit was a revelation:).

Nice people, good people. The kind of people who restore your faith in humanity.
