The older I get, the more I am convinced that our world is some other world’s insane asuylum – with the US being the maximum security zone.

What is this brougth on by – well a story where a gentleman agreed to help his former lover become pregnant by donating his sperm. The agreement was that he forgoes the pleasure of bonking her, and she forgoes child support and everyone lives happily ever after.

Now after she has had twins, she has had a change of heart and the judiciary agrees. so the poor sod has to pay child support for children he had nothing to do with.

The reason I am ranting is that in a world without boundaries – legal precedents arrive from everywhere including a hyper lawyer nation like the USA. And a number of people who have used donation of sperms and eggs to have children might be disadvantaged if donors back off. Afterall, you don’t associate donation of an egg or a sperm with a life long financial committment.

Sometimes I wonder, whether this is our future – a world without honour where lawyers and judges decide our lives.
