The Iraqi footballers don’t believe that they are free, instead believe that they are living under a a satate of occupaion by a foreign power. THey don’t believe that the battles in Najaf are terrorim but a freedom struggle. But, more than anything else they are hopping mad because a man responsible for killing their families, neighbours and friends – now has the gall of talking about liberating the Iraqi’s when in fact his country was responsible for propping up Saddam until he invaded Kuwait.
