The last two weeks have been sans PC. The poor thing – overworked and always on – blew its own condensor. and went off to get repaired. Before the prognosis, diagnosis and cure, I was tinkering around with it trying to get it fixed. btw. didn’t know that PC’s had condensors before this. guess that one learns something new every day!

So, it has come back in a new avtaar. With a 80 GB Hard Disk, in addition to the 40 that exists. I remember my first PC (actually it was a Mac) with 4 MB RAM ( in those days that was a luxury) and a 40 MB hard disk. And it actually did most of the stuf f that my current one does. And the OS didn’t crash too often:)

Anyway getting it back is relief. didn’t know how much i depended on it!

So when I look back after a year or so and wonder why I didn’t blog for a month or so – this could be one reason. Another could be inertia – I am thinking of legally adopting inertia as my middle name! Harini Inertia Calamur has a ring to it, though I am not quite sure about the abbreviation! So what happened in the last month or so

a) we launched our first daily quiz. Dial one aur Jeeto on Sahara One. Interactive, disruptive and great fun. This went on air on the 14th of Feb. More about that in a separate post. I have actually jotted down stuff to blog – so that when i did finally have time i could record it for later.

b) went and saw Mark Knopfler in concert on the 5th of March, which was also coincidentally my Birthday. the concert was brilliant. started on the dot at 7.30 p.m. and went on till 10. Loved the ballads, didnt’ like the rock numbers too much. teh ambience was great, as was the audience.

c) Prachee was in town. met up a few times. had a few drinks and caught up. SR was as well behaved as usual.

d) had my mobile stolen in the Sahara Office. This I find really funny. I have been in television production for over a decade. On a bustling shoot floor I have never ever lost anything. But, channel offices are a different ball game. Lost two mobiles in Zee, one in Sahara. Monies in both. What is it about channels that attracts kleptomaniacs!

e) The Sahara involvement has ended at the end of February. NOw that would have made an interesting blog! but, then no one would have believed mroe than half of what i wrote! Maybe i will use the material for a fiction show set in a TV channel!
