This from the latest issue of iNSIGHT – thanks to Shivam for the link- a very valid query:

Early 2003, Ashok Singhal was a key presence at an official occasion organised by the Vishwa Hindu Mahasabha to declare the Nepalese king as the world Hindu samrat. Singhal had then declared that Gyanendra was not only the king of 24 million Nepalese but of all Hindus in India and abroad. After the February 1 royal coup, Singhal came to Nepal to rally support of the Hindus worldwide for the king’s move. Back home, at the RSS’s All India Karyakari Sabha meeting last month, Singhal placed a resolution seeking endorsement of the king’s takeover.

It is interesting to note that those very people who claim to be giving certificates of nationalism in India, are so blatantly involved in the promotion of authoritarianism and are suggesting handing over Indian sovereignty to a foreigner.

At least Mr.Advani had the guts & the honour to stand by his remarks. What is the leader of the party that labelled Mr.Advani a traitor, planning to do?
I have a suggestion on this? Since Mr.Singhal wants to live in a country that is ruled by the Vishwa Hindu Samrat, maybe he should migrate to Nepal.
